This book was always going to be on my radar and after reading the blurb I was excited to meet Liam the single dad who also works with animals and I wasn’t disappointed, this book was everything I expected and so much more. The Dream Guy Next Door is set in a small town and both the hero and the heroine are single parents so it’s going to appeal to a wide range of audiences. This is small town romance at its best and once you add in the seriously hot single dad who also happens to be British and the wonderful sassy single mum you get the perfect read. Liam and January are neighbors and the attraction is instant, from the moment they meet sparks fly, the banter is witty and the story is entertaining. I loved everything about this book, it ticked all my boxes and I recommend it to all romance lovers. Just when I think the very talented Ms Blakely has given me her best, she delivers another hero and heroine I can’t forget and another romance that will stay with me long after I have read the final words. Next on the agenda is to pick up the audio for this wonderful, entertaining tale. Great job Ms Blakely

When I read the blurb for this I just knew that this was going to be a good read. I love single parent romances and in The Dream Guy Next Door both the heroine and the hero are both single parents; add in that this single dad is a hot Brit and set in a small town and I was all in. From start to finish I was completely riveted to January and Liam’s story. Every time I finish a book by Ms.Blakely, I am left with smile on my face, this book was no exception. The chemistry and attraction between January and Liam is combustible, yet these two neighbour s shouldn’t cross the line. After all complications will arise if they become involved. I loved the friendship and honesty that developed in their relationship; their banter is witty and there were numerous laugh out loud moments. The neighbour’s were all in one another’s business and that added an additional layer to my enjoyment. Liam is totally swoon worthy and I fell hard and fast for him. I love how feisty and sassy January is and that she gives as good as she gets. These two are meant to, they are well suited and I loved them both separately and together. Can these two neighbour's cross the fence and in doing so forge a future together? This is a little gem and one I loved.; well down Ms. Blakely

He is a single dad of a near 10 year old and is ready for the next stage in his life. He moves in next door to January who is also a single parent and is loving her single life. What are the chances of finding your other half at the right stage in your life and you’re both on the same page? This is the question that January and Liam need to conquer and answer before it’s too late. This book from LB was a little different. It was a bit deeper than her usual RomComs but it had the same LB flair and humor, just in a smaller dose. I actually enjoyed the change of seeing the main characters not only flirty and have amazing intimacy but also witnessing their intellect with profound conversations. Each had awesome kids who were well rounded. Add in the pets and we are on a winner. Great first book in this series.
